from The Pettit Correspondent, Vol. 1, No. 2, page 24 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Miscellany This obituary was transcribed by Cris Reed of Morgan County, Ohio (Rt. 1, Malta, OH 43758) in June, 1987. She found it in The People's Advocate (McConnelsville), Feb. 17, 1837. Mr. Samuel Pettit was found dead Wednesday evening last, in the woods about 2 miles from town where he had been engaged during the day. It is supposed his death was caused by a fit, as he had been subject to them for a number of years, caused by the bite of a dog. _______________ The following was received in March, '88 from Ethel Trego, 416 W.
